Taliesin Preservation
Back to Places To Visit
DetailsFrank Lloyd Wright put his architectural vision into practice at his home located just south of Spring Green. Wright named his home, Taliesin, the Welsh translation, “Shining Brow”, because of the way it nestles into the brow of a hill. The magnificent 600-acre Taliesin estate is home to two of Frank Lloyd Wright's most personal designs, Taliesin and the Hillside School, which is the summer headquarters for the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. All tours begin at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center where visitors may enjoy exhibits, a gift shop, and cafe with an outstanding view of the Wisconsin River.
